Our leadership team

Chief Executive Perfectionist – Jim Schweich

Jim is responsible for directing the company’s strategic planning and policy-setting initiatives. This includes determining the company’s target markets, product mix, and financial plan. Prior to assuming his current position in 2013, Jim’s roles included General Manager, Operations Manager and Plant Manager. Since 2005, he has overseen the Company’s capital investment of over $3 million. Jim is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Executive Operations Perfectionist – Tom Schweich

Tom is responsible for six production areas, including two automated zinc barrel electroplating lines, two highly automated zinc rack electroplating lines, and three zinc mechanical galvanizing production lines. He is also responsible for Scheduling, Water Treatment, and Plant Maintenance. Prior to assuming his current position, Tom’s roles included Production Supervisor, Estimator, Shift Supervisor, Line Operator, and Water Treatment Operator.

Executive Engineering Perfectionist – Jerry Schweich

Jerry is responsible for all technical departments, including Engineering and our Test Laboratory. Prior to assuming his current position, Jerry’s roles included Technology Manager, Maintenance Technician, Electroplater Operator and Water Treatment Operator. Since 1990, Jerry has overseen the design and installation of four barrel electroplating lines, four rack electroplating lines, three water treatment systems, and three hydrogen relief ovens.

State of the artisans

Virtually all of our people – even those whose jobs are heavily involved with science, technology or analysis – perform their jobs with a certain sense of artistry. And that’s why we like to think of Plateco as a company of artisans who also happen to be perfectionists.
