You’d be surprised what a big impact a seemingly small thing can have on plating quality.
Many of our customers ship us parts in wooden crates with each layer of parts resting on a cardboard sheet. However, many parts leave our customers’ factories with oil residue on them, and that oil gets onto the cardboard. View the image above as an example.
This can be a problem if we have to recycle the oil-stained cardboard when we send the plated parts back to you. The oil can get on the newly-plated parts, and this can impair not only the appearance of your parts, but the integrity of the plating.
The solution: Please enclose a set of clean cardboard sheets with each shipment to us. This way, we can simply throw away the oil-covered sheets and place your pristine plated parts on a pristine piece of cardboard.
People love clean sheets; it turns out that metal parts do, too!
